I’ve kinda come to the end of the road when it comes to looking for information about Clinuvel. Sooner or later something will pop up but it’s getting more difficult to find. So in the meantime while we wait for news towards the end of the year I wanted to post some photos of Aussie off road touring vehicles. Some of these will look unique to our American friends as I don’t think this style of vehicle are commonplace in the US.

This is a Toyota Landcruiser 79 series that has been modified with canopies on the back housing a Redarc electrical system to power appliances and fridges, 70 ltr water tank installed, additional fuel tanks, a full circular awning that folds out to provide shade and a pop up tent in top of the vehicle. Other work was done underneath the vehicle, lights everywhere and other mods. Owned by Justin Montesalvo, the owner of Patriot Campers here in Australia, this vehicle cost in the ballpark of $250k to build (which is pricey). But it is a beast and capable of going deep into the Outback or jungle with no anxiety whatsoever!

@Clinhope Well it has to be fairly high😂😂 I’m careful not to get too ahead of myself otherwise all my future profits would’ve already been earmarked for yet to be realised purchases! But seriously, I’d be looking at a Ute with a detachable canopy with stilts so it can be demounted from the back of the Ute but still have the tray on the back for around town. Such a set up would likely need custom canopies made to fit inside the tray. The vehicle?: Dodge Ram TRX 1500 imported from the States. 6.2Ltr V8 702 HP engine and Baja style suspension.

Share price point for such a purchase? $250 and above👀😜

@FarmaZutical Ah yes! I’m a big Tesla fan but still like an old fashioned petrol guzzling V8 and above. Can’t beat a toasty looking fire on the Tesla touch screen during camping though I bet😉😆

Quite some years ago I had the opportunity to spend a weekend in the outback. I've been visiting a friend on a cattle station, needless to say we were fully equipped with everything guys need for having a good time in the middle of nowhere, packed on several Land Cruisers. Have to say it was one of the most "remarkable" weekends I spent so far...not only due to the Utes and the stuff on it but also because of the very special people you meet out there. So if this is your plan Mac: nice one!! 👍:D

I'll eventually get an electric vehicle one way or another. Just in case the world collapses. I have solar panels and 3 power walls, so I can go off grid if I need to.

But... if Tesla ever actually produces the long rumored off-road vehicle, it has the potential to be awesome. 4 independent motors means it could do things that no ICE vehicle ever could. Near perfect traction.

I bet it'll be expensive.
